Max Changmin dishes on kiss scenes during “Paradise Ranch” press conference

The PD and cast members of SBS’s upcoming drama, “Paradise Ranch“, met with reporters at their press conference held on January 18th at the SBS building.
PD Kim Chul Kyu truthfully revealed, “I was quite worried about Changmin’s acting. Every night, I called him into my office and tutored him in acting. Even people who have acted for decades still find trouble with certain elements, and I figured since Changmin’s a rookie, there had to be something he lacked in.”
He continued, “Viewers will feel that his acting isn’t up to par in the beginning episodes of the drama. What’s fortunate is that his acting will quickly become a lot more natural. His role tends to joke around, and is sometimes even cranky, but there’s warmth inside his character. I think those characteristics fit well with Changmin.

Changmin admitted, “Whenever I had a kiss scene, I wasn’t able to eat or sleep the night before. I think I gargled at least a dozen times. I still don’t know why I was so nervous.”
Actress Lee Yeon Hee, who had been listening to Changmin’s shy confession, commented, “I was a bit nervous because he treated Yoo Ha Na with more ease than me.
When asked for his thoughts about the various judgments on his acting that will be made after the broadcast of the first episode, Changmin carefully replied, “There will definitely be some who will view my acting in a negative light. I’ll be taking those criticisms in order to learn from them, since I realize that I am still lacking in some aspects. As long as they’re constructive criticisms, I’m prepared to accept them.
He continued, “However, I worked extremely hard these past six months, so I have no regrets. I’ll be monitoring the episodes every week, and I’m sure I’ll find parts I’d be upset with, but I definitely won’t be disappointed.”

Lee Yeon Hee pouted, “I’m still disappointed about why Changmin would have more fun with Yoo Ha Na and even joke around with her, when he’s mostly silent around me.”
She continued, “Still, he did a great job despite it being his first time acting. It was surprising to see how fast he learned, as time went by. We worked extremely well together.
Aside from Changmin and Lee Yeon Hee, “Paradise Ranch” also stars Ju Sang Wook and Yoo Ha Na in a story that uses the beautiful scenery of Jeju Island as a backdrop for love between four youths.
The drama began filming in December 2009, and wrapped up six months later in May of 2010. The drama will air in the time slot of “It’s Okay, Daddy’s Daughter,” starting January 24th.

CNBLUE and Seohyun volunteer for charity work

A post titled ‘Seohyun who participated in volunteer work with CNBLUE after filming We Got Married’ was posted on an online community website. In the post, there was a photo of CNBLUE members and Seohyun amidst a group of volunteer workers. This charity organization (most likely the Make A Wish Foundation based on the poster behind them) arranged for CNBLUE to meet with children who have incurable diseases. That day, CNBLUE’s Yonghwa had his virtual wife Seohyun make a surprise appearance.
Netizens who saw the post complimented the We Got Married Yongseo couple saying, “Although it’s an imaginary relationship, it’s good to see this couple“, and “Whatever this couple does seems so warm.”
I’d have to agree, and it’s great to see that the couple are doing their part in society. First by donating blood, and now with charity work. They’re starting to remind me of the real-life celebrity couple Sean and Jung Hye Young. Although we are used to seeing Sean more for his adorable pictures with his children, he and his wife are known for their unending support for organizations such as Baffor and Compassion.

Yongseo couple travels to Busan to meet Yonghwa’s mother

On the way there, Seohyun practiced Busan’s satoori and Seohyun seemed a bit nervous on the prospects of visiting her mother in law. Yonghwa also gave Seohyun a present of red glasses, he stated that she can look similar to him if she wore the glasses. Seohyun was thankful for the gift but retorted that she doesn’t really look good wearing glasses. Yonghwa also mentioned that a few years ago he saw Seohyun wearing a similar red frame glasses while she was reading a book and he hasn’t forgotten about that look. When Seohyun finally wore the glasses, Yonghwa stated that she looked good. Seohyun requested a mirror and Yonghwa replied that she could use his eyes as mirrors.
When the couple finally met Yonghwa’s mother, many fans were surprised to see that Yonghwa’s mother was so beautiful and elegant. Yonghwa’s mother was quite happy to see Seohyun and held her hand while walking to the car before they head to a restaurant. Yonghwa’s mother also stated that Seohyun needed some work on her satoori.

A representative of Huh Lee Jae’s entertainment company stated, “On this day, her best friend/colleague Hong Soo Ah caught the bouquet. Both of them smiled happily at this result.
However, the bouquet was originally planned for famous stylist Suh Soo Kyung, so when Hong Soo Ah ended up as the bouquet’s new owner, the wedding attendees joked around saying, “Is Hong Soo Ah’s wedding going to approach soon?
On another note, Hong Soo Ah had been immersed in dating rumors with Hanwha Eagles‘ baseball player Ryu Hyun Jin last month when a mini-hompy picture of the two had been put up.
Regarding the dating suspicions, Hong Soo Ah’s entertainment company had shot down the rumor by stating, “The picture had been taken during their practice for the nuptial song for Kim Tae Kyun and Kim Suk Ryu’s wedding.

seohyun finally meets Yonghwas mother on " we got married "

CNBLUE’s Yonghwa and SNSD’s Seohyun finally visited Yonghwa’s hometown of Busan on the latest episode of MBC’s “We Got Married.”
As reported earlier, Seohyun finally got to meet Yonghwa’s mother in person during the couple’s trip.
Meeting her at a sashimi restaurant, the three engaged in conversation and viewers were quick to notice the respectful manners Seohyun was displaying before her mother-in-law. She showed a bigger appetite than normal (since that’s what mother-in-laws love to see in a daughter-in-law) and  by opening her mouth wider than normal for each bite, she made sure to eat without being picky as well.

When Seohyun briefly left for the restroom, Yonghwa began asking his mother about her thoughts on his new wife.
She replied with a content smile, “She’s not like kids these days, as she’s very nice and respectful.  I like her a lot,  I think she’ll treat you well.  It’s important how well your personalities match, though.”
She even suggested that Yonghwa feed her one of the dishes himself upon Seohyun’s return, and the two pulled off the ‘act of affection’ in front of her despite much embarrassment.
After seeing Yonghwa feed her another bite, she commented, “Daughter-in-law, you’re making me jealous!  You remind me of the movie ‘Trap.’  It’s a movie about a mother-in-law killing her daughter-in-law out of jealousy.  They fight in the end,” putting Seohyun in a state of shock.
In an effort to help Seohyun feel less nervous, she began telling her stories of Yonghwa’s past.  She started, “I saw Yonghwa writing letters on the show and was very surprised.  Ever since he was little all the way up until he graduated high school, he wrote the same thing in his letters to his parents.”
She continued, “They were always, ‘Parents, thank you for giving birth to me.  I’ll grow up into a man you’ll be proud of.  Please live a long and healthy life.’
Yonghwa clarified, “I’m not used to writing stuff like that,” while his mother retorted, “But you write so many letters to Seohyun.”

When asked for any advice from Seohyun, Yonghwa’s mother replied, “There’s nothing you have to fix.  Everyone grew up in a different setting, and all you need to do is think preciously of Yonghwa.  You’re doing great.
Seohyun also prepared an abundance of presents for Yonghwa’s mother, such as sweet potatoes and health products she bought from her visit to Japan, along with a thoughtful handwritten letter.
